Chubb needed a way to communicate with engineers visiting client sites. The solution had to be simple and not take up too much of the engineers' time -but one which would also get a message across clearly and precisely.
Novagem's Enhanced Operations Manager was the ideal solution. It allowed Chubb Head Office to communicate with engineers via text SMS messages. The information sent and received between the office and the engineers varied from available part quantities, part codes and prices as well as notifying the engineers of their next call.
Closing site calls now only requires the call-out code to be sent back to the AS/400, which then automatically forwards the address details and problem description of the next call back to the engineer.
Before EOM was implemented, there were continuous phone calls back and forward between the two parties - taking up a lot of time and becoming very costly.
